A schoolgirl is donating 12 inches of her hair which will be turned into a wig to support a child with cancer.
Selfless Bella, 8, who lives in Borehamwood, has decided she wants to make another child "smile" and will be giving away some of her hair to the Little Princess Trust.
The Little Princess Trust is a charity that offers real hair wigs to young people who have lost their hair as a result of chemotherapy.
Bella will have her hair cut on April 22.
Not only is Bella donating some of her hair but she is also raising money for the Little Princess Trust.
The Kenilworth Primary School pupil has smashed her fundraising target, with more than £1,400 raised.
Bella's mum Samantha said: "The donations have been overwhelming. We are so thankful to everyone who has made a donation, especially in the current climate. I am so proud of Bella, she is a real tough cookie."
Writing on the fundraising page, Bella wrote: "Hi, my name is Bella and I am 8 years old. I want to donate my hair to make another child smile and help them by giving them some of my hair.
"The big day will be taking place on Thursday the 22nd of April at The Essential Lounge in Potters Bar. My mummy will be filming the big moment to show you all...please can you help me buy sponsoring me love Bella xxx."
