A child was taken to hospital after the emergency services, including an air ambulance, were called to an incident in Borehamwood.
Paramedics were called to Hillside Avenue on Sunday afternoon (February 21) following reports a child was in need of medical assistance.
Police have said the child was taken to hospital but no further details have been given.
Two ambulances and rapid response vehicle were pictured at the scene in Hillside Avenue with an air ambulance also dispatched.
A video taken by a neighbour shows the London Air Ambulance pilot landing the helicopter in Cardinal Avenue at the junction of Hillside Avenue, just yards from where the child in need was.
Police say they received a call from the ambulance service at around 4.30pm and officers attended and put road closures in place.
With a cordon in place, the pilot was able to safely land at the junction which is surrounded by houses.
Neighbours reported the helicopter had left the scene shortly after 5.30pm although it is not clear whether the child was taken to hospital in the helicopter or by road.
The East of England Ambulance Service has been approached for comment.
