Only one home at a new major housing development in Borehamwood is yet to be sold, a housebuilder has revealed.
Building work at Hertsmere Mews, off Shenley Road, is expected to be completed this spring and the latest news shows just how popular the new development - and Borehamwood - has been for homebuyers.
Bellway has built 306 homes on the land, formerly home to Holmshill School and the upper site of Hertswood School.
Greg Allsop, sales and marketing director at Bellway North London, says there is only one home left for sale at Hertsmere Mews, which is a mixture of one and two-bedroom apartments and three and four-bedroom houses.
Mr Allsop said: "From start to finish, our team have done a fantastic job at Hertsmere Mews throughout the duration of this project.
"As a result, Hertsmere Mews is an award-winning Bellway development, with Project Manager Steve Cutting and his team having gained multiple awards from the National House Building Council (NHBC) and two Considerate Constructors Awards in recognition of the entire site team and their efforts in Borehamwood.
"So it’s no surprise that almost all of the homes at the development have already sold and there is just one remaining for sale as building work nears completion."
The Hertsmere Mews team has won the NHBC’s Pride in the Job Quality Award, Seal of Excellence and the National Health and Safety Award.
Mr Allsop added: "We are incredibly proud of Hertsmere Mews and its success is down to the hard work of all involved, who have delivered exceptional new homes in an area with a huge demand for new housing.
"And due to the continued high levels of interest in the development, we’re expecting the final home to be sold quickly."
The Hertsmere Mews development enabled Hertswood Academy to build its new state-of-the-art school in Cowley Hill, with funding secured from the sale of the land.
