Tonight a meeting will be held to challenge the threat on yet more of the public spaces in Borehamwood.
Maxwell Park Community Centre has been identified as a location for a new school to be built on to meet the increasing pressures on the educational institutes in the county.
In order to fund the new school, developers Wrotham Park Estate will also be building 58 new homes, 35 per cent of which will be affordable, to be built off Potters Lane.
The site was proposed by Hertfordshire County Council, and will be where the school is built if no alternative sites are put forward.
The Elstree and Borehamwood Residents Association (EBRA) will be meeting from 7.45pm at St Teresa’s Hall, Shenley Road to discuss the plans.
Last week Wrotham Park Estate announced plans for the six-acre site to be turned into a primary school for 420 pupils and a 30 place nursery on the land next to Hertswood Academy on Cowley Hill.
The aim of the project is to create an educational hub in Borehamwood and look to meet the need for primary and nursery school places for children in the area.
The developers will be meeting at Aberford Park Community Centre from 3pm on Friday to display the plans.
