A school held its first sports presentation evening where sporting commitment, achievement and excellence of pupils was recognised and celebrated.
Meryfield Community Primary School, Borehamwood, started their first presentation evening with a dance troop who performed a street dance routine that they used at the Borehamwood Performing Arts festival on June 30.
All club members were awarded with certificates of achievement to thank them for their hard work, commitment and dedication to sport at the school.
There were also three special awards: Players’ Player, Managers’ Player and Player Progress Award.
This year Meryfield has had many notable successes in the sporting arena and the school decided to award children who have represented them
Two special trophies were given to sportsman and sportswoman of the year in recognition of their achievements in sport.
Tom Boyanox and Nicole Chinzou were awarded these trophies.
Premiership footballer Chuba Akpom, who plays for Arsenal, was invited to the presentation evening as a special guest.
