Senior citizens welcomed cast and crew of the hit TV show On The Buses at a special event.
The Borehamwood Seniors Day Service based at Fountain Court, in Brook Road, Borehamwood, held the annual On The Buses event on Friday June 24.
The event saw actress Andria Lawrence who played Betty in the first film attend and two members of the film crew Phil Campbell and Brian Reynolds.
Mrs Lawrence, who acted on several scenes filmed in Whitehouse Avenue, Borehamwood, brought several copies of her new book The Olive Tree which she signed and sold to the guests.
Mr Campbell and Mr Reynolds both used to work with Hammer Films and during the event they also brought copies of their new book Running Scared which is based on their careers.
Fans of the show also visited the event with memorabilia, a quiz and a new book On The Buses Filming Locations.
Activities co-ordinator at the club Robert Hickey said: “The event went very well and at the end of it all our seniors who attended said they had enjoyed themselves which is the main point behind it.
“It was great to see some of our guests arrive on the Routemaster double decker bus.”
On The Buses was a British sitcom which aired from 1969 to 1973 and spawned three feature spin-off films and a stage version based on the series.
The film was made on location at Elstree Studios in Borehamwood.
