Three entrepreneurial alumni are launching their company nationally this month.

The award-winning PawBakes was founded in May 2013 by alumni Jacquelyn Bond-Vaughan 23, from Borehamwood, Chloe Hackney and Lauren Ash.

All three graduated from Hertfordshire Business School in 2014.

Their business allows dog owners to bake their own pet treats from home, creating delicious and wholesome snacks for their treasured pets.

Lauren said: “We are all dog lovers. We are all thankful to the university. They helped us get us to where we are today.

“Hard work really does pay off. We have had a lot of fantastic responses as well.

“Our product is available on Amazon. People can also come and meet us as well in our various shows we will be at.

“We attended the All About Dogs show in Suffolk last Easter weekend where we had a great response from the visitors and thoroughly enjoyed meeting lots of fellow dogs lovers.

“It was great hearing how they loved the idea and couldn’t wait to go home and bake for their dogs.”

The PawBakes team had a great start, winning ‘Most Innovative Idea’ at the 2013 flare awards.

The prize money allowed them to test their products and develop their brand, which saw them rename the business from Petilicious to PawBakes.
