I am unsure as to who organises the annual Primary School Performing Arts Concert (held at Allum Hall), but would like to thank them for ensuring this event takes place — it is wonderful to see the many talents of the children of Borehamwood.
However, having attended this event for the past four years, I would like to offer one important piece of advice — please, please check out the sound system in advance! The children practise their performances so hard and teachers give valuable time preparing them — it is such a shame that every year whoever is in charge of setting up the PA system fails to ensure it works properly.
This year, the children had to start, stop and restart their performances (some up to four times) with faulty soundtrack playing, microphones that don't work and volume levels that drown out the children’s singing.
Please put that extra bit of effort in to ensure the success of this event.
