I would like to thank the good people of Cowley Hill who voted for me to be their representative on the borough council. Whatever party you voted for or whoever you are I am here to help you.
It has been a pleasure to have been the Elstree Borehamwood Residents’ Association vice chairman. This post I must now stand down from as per their constitution. I will, however, still be chairman of the Hertsmere Affinity Sutton Residents’ Panel, a role I hope to be re-elected to when we meet again in Radlett on June 18. I will still be the publisher of the local community magazine but may have to seek a trainee editor to decrease my workload as I know being a councillor is time consuming.
Had it not been for my excellent team of Alan Gellaty, Andy Grady and team leader Cllr Clive Butchins, I would not have won. I would also like to thank the Bangladeshi community who voted for me, personal friends, heaps of fans of the community magazine and Cllr Sue Brown for canvassing vital votes for me.
If I can help you in anyway, I am here to serve you and can be contacted on 020 8953 7132.
Cllr David Burcombe
Con/Cowley Hill ward Hertsmere Borough Council
