Since Govia took over the franchise of the Thameslink route from First Capital Connect last year, the service has gone from bad to worse. I commute from Borehamwood and one day recently, the 7.43 train to London was cancelled because there was no driver available. The next day, the 7.53 was cancelled for the same reason.
This is a total disgrace. We pay a lot of money to travel on trains in this country and the service on the Thameslink is appalling.
When trains are not cancelled, they are reduced from eight to four carriages, which at peak-hour, means you end up being transported like sardines in a tin.
I hope Govia will lose this franchise very soon.
