Many local people have asked me why I have left UKIP and am now standing as a Labour candidate in the Elstree & Borehamwood Town Council election.
I believe that the needs of local people are more important than party allegiances.
I have a strong track record of successful campaigning on issues like potholes in our roads; saving The Ark Theatre and opposing the cuts to local bus services.
My activism on these matters has been supported by the Borehamwood Labour team.
Neither UKIP nor the local Conservatives (I previously nominated one of their candidates) have offered that kind of support for local people. UKIP have completely failed to engage with the local agenda.
As a local activist, I urge people in this area to support me and other members of our local Labour team in Brookmeadow and elsewhere around the town.
