The grounds of a temple will become a hive of activity this weekend as it opens its doors for its annual family open day.
Bhaktivedanta Manor in Aldenham will be buzzing with the sounds of summer fun, as the temple hosts its annual family open day on Saturday.
Mums, dads, children and grandparents will have the chance to take part in a variety of activities, including learning how to put on a traditional Indian sari dress, face painting, a bouncy castle, woodland walks, and even milking a cow.
Visitors will also have the opportunity to explore the Victorian mansion and the garden built in the memory of the late Beatles guitarist George Harrison, learn more about its history and about the Hare Krishna movement.
Guests can also take part in a prayer service, where they can see statues of the famous deities of Radha and Krishna.
For those who have worked up an appetite, there will be a selection of delicious sweet and savoury Indian vegetarian food for sale in Radha Rani's bakery.
Temple president Srutidharma Dasa said: "Bhaktivedanta Manor is a unique and beautiful place with so much to offer - it is rich in history, spirituality and in beauty. There really is something for everyone here.
"I would encourage all our visitors, young and old, to join in the fun, explore the wonderful grounds and enjoy a day out with a difference!"
The temple will be open between 11.15am and 3pm.
