An exhibition to celebrate 100 years of filmmaking will be opened today.
Funded in part by the Heritage Lottery Fund and Hertsmere Borough Council, the exhibition at the Community Museum will guide visitors from 1914 and the founding of Neptune Studios right through to the present day.
The Centenary Exhibition also includes a selection of highlights from interviews recorded with film and TV veterans.
Each visitor will receive a free copy of the 16-page souvenir edition of “Town Crier”, as well as a guide to the local heritage trail of more than 25 plaques and a window sticker.
Books, posters and a DVD will be sold each Saturday in the foyer of the Community Centre at 96 Shenley Road.
The museum will be opened to the public today from 12.30.
The exhibition will then be open Tuesday to Thursday from 12.30pm to 6pm and each Saturday from 10am until 3pm until September 13.
