The trailer for a new documentary that will tell the story of 100 years of filmmaking in Elstree and Borehamwood has been released this week.
Howard Berry’s From Borehamwood to Hollywood: The Rise and Fall and Rise of Elstree tells the story of the studios from the opening of Neptune Studios in 1914 to the present day stories of the BBC Elstree Centre and Elstree Studios.
Interviewees include cast, crew and studio staff as well as historians and experts such as Steven Spielberg, Brian Blessed, Walter, Bryony Dixon of the British Film Institute, Brian Clemens, Sir Roger Moore and June Randall.
Made by TheCurators! Productions for the University of Hertfordshire, senior lecturer Howard Berry is Producing and Directing, with Paul Welsh interviewing and co-narrating with Barbara Windsor.
The film is currently in production with a release date planned for September 21, 2014.
