Instead of making a mad dash to the shop to pick up the last minute presents, people are being encouraged to give blood this Christmas Eve.
An extra session has been added at Allum Hall in a bid to attract as many donors before the busy festive period.
Both new and existing donors aged between 17 and 65 and in general good health are being urged to give up half an hour of their time for the good deed.
The session will take place on Monday, December 24 at Allum Hall, in Allum Lane, Elstree. To book an appointment, ring 0300 123 23 23.
