Defeat is a blow to Radlett title hopes

Radlett saw their Home Counties Premier League Division One title hopes take a blow on Saturday.

The Cobden Hill-based outfit went down by four wickets to mid-table Henley.

Radlett were bowled out for 209 in the 63rd over, Tom Jenkins top scoring with 41.

In reply, Henley reached their target in the 51st over, despite three wickets from Heath Paynter.

Shane Burger’s troops now have just three games left in which to catch leaders Oxford. They are currently third, but only 15 points adrift of the table-toppers.

Radlett travel to Tring Park on Saturday. Interestingly, Radlett’s final game of the season is a trip to Oxford.

* Radlett IIs were two-wicket winners against Preston in Herts Saracens Division Two.

Preston were bowled out for 147, with Radlett squeezing home to keep alive their slim promotion hopes.
