Boreham Wood forward Lee Angol has been named the Young Player of the Year at the National Game Awards.
The striker, who hit 24 league goals as the Wood won promotion from the Conference South, beat off competition from Barnet's Andy Yiadom, Omar Bogle of Solihull Moors, Braintree Town’s Simeon Akinola and Bristol Rovers duo Tom Lockyer and Parkes.
And the Luton Town loanee, 20, came out on top after clinching the Conference South's Golden Boot en-route to the National League.
Described by boss Ian Allinson as "the jigsaw piece that was pivotal to the historic season we’ve had," Angol netted 32 times in all competitons, including two play-of fgoals.
