Boreham Wood have completed the loan signing of Dundee United striker Kudus Oyenuga.
The forward has agreed a move to Meadow Park until the end of the season as he looks to fire Wood to safety in the Conference South.
Oyenuga has been a long-term target for the club and has reportedly been tracked by manager Ian Allinson for several years.
Manager Allinson told the club website: “I’m thrilled to finally get Kudus. I showed him round the club in the summer and thought I had him back then.
“The fact Kudus wasn’t getting the game time he wanted at Dundee Utd meant, with our chairman’s approval, we could have another go at trying to get him.
“When he fancied the move, all parties moved quickly to make it happen and I can’t wait to see him in a Wood shirt.”
Allinson added: “My assistant manager Luke Garrard hasn’t been off the phone to Kudus ensuring the deal stayed hot and Billy Hunter has been instrumental in getting the paperwork sorted.”
The 20-year-old began his career in the Tottenham Hotspur academy back in 2008. Oyenuga agreed a deal with Spurs three years ago before being sent out on loan to Finnish club MyPa.
Following his return from Finland, Oyenuga went out on loan to Bury where he made one appearance.
He then went on to join St Johnstone for four months and he made his league debut for the club against Celtic.
After returning to England, Oyenuga was released by Tottenham but agreed a one-year deal with Hayes & Yeading United.
The forward made a decent impression with the Conference South side as he scored 18 goals in 40 appearances.
His form for them earned him a trial with Dundee United, where he secured a three-year contract in Scotland.
