Anyone living in Hertsmere aged between 14 to 18 are being asked to join the Hertsmere Volunteer Police Cadets.
The group is now recruiting new members to join the unit which is based in Borehamwood.
Hertfordshire Police Cadets are young members of the community that are involved in a wide range of activities and events.
Lead instructor PC Ross Paybody said: “I am really happy that we are able to open recruitment for the group again.
“I am incredibly proud of all the achievements our group has made so far and look forward to sharing this with some new recruits.”
As well as learning about police procedures and the law, cadets play a vital role in community events, engaging with members of the public and educating them on crime prevention.
Groups also participate in many exciting outdoor activities such as white-water rafting and summer camps.
The group, which is run by police officers, meets every other Tuesday evening and attendance is £2 per session.
